Fabiano staying put at Sevilla

Luis Fabiano seems to be in a world of confusion as the Brazilian striker has now gone on to say that he will remain with Spanish club Sevilla, despite nearly signing with AC Milan last season.

Although Marseille and Inter Milan are 2 clubs that’s have been showing much interest in the 30-year old striker, Fabiano has stated that he will now stay with Sevilla for the remainder of his contract,

“I have a contract here and I intend to respect it. That is the last thing I will say on the matter.” Confirmed Fabiano to AS reporters.

Sevilla is having a mediocre season with the Rojiblancos but Fabiano is hopeful that they will win some titles this season. He continued with the following,

“2010 wasn’t a bad year. But we suffered a lot last season. We got into the position to qualify for the Champions League, but failed to do so right at the end. The best thing right now is the amazing support our fans give us, and it is helping us a lot. My wish for 2011 is for Sevilla to continue to win titles. We are going into the New Year with confidence, and hopefully we can achieve the goals we have set.”

How do you think Sevilla will end their campaign this season? Happy to hear Fabiano state that he will stay with Sevilla till the end of his contract? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
