Former Juventus midfielder and Czech international Pavel Nedved has been appointed as director and member of the Juventus Board. Former president turned CEO Jean Claude Blanc made the announcement.

Speaking to Sky Sports 24, Blanc called Nedved an ambassador.

“Nedved on the board? We wanted give more power to all parts of the club, create a direct link between the board and the team,”

“He will help us with his experience and be the ambassador of Juventus. The door has been open for Pavel since the end of his career and he was aware of this.”

Nedved is part of Juve’s golden generation of players that includes Zidane, Inzaghi, Del Piero and Buffon. Nedved spent 8 years with the Bianconeri where he was voted as the Europe player of the year in 2003.

Meanwhile, in Milan, Robinho has insisted that team mate Ronaldinho will not be leaving the San Siro anytime soon. Dinho has been consistently been linked with amove away from the Italian giants after talks to renew his contract broke down in the summer.

Dinho is yet to renew his contract with the Rossoneri and as such is the cause for much of the speculation. Fellow compatriot Robinho thinks Ronaldinho will not be leaving Milan.

“We have to stop saying that Ronaldinho will leave for the United States,” Robinho told La Gazzetta dello Sport.”Dinho will stay with me here, he will stay with us at Milan. I am ready to tie him to the dressing room if necessary.

“He is not just a champion, but a leader. And for me he is a real friend. You can trust him, he is one who will never betray.”
