Royston Drenthe, currently serving his load deal at Hercules, has confirmed making a return to Los Blanco’s following the expiration of his loan deal.
Although Real Madrid is already packed with many players, Drenthe has been a huge part of Hercules success this season as the newly promoted club has had some impressive moments. However, it looks like Drenthe is ready to make his return to Real Madrid and impress new head-coach Jose Mourinho.
Royston Drenthe went on to say the following in a recent interview:
“Real Madrid [is] a big club, they always have more quality than other teams, and it is always difficult to establish yourself among so many great players. I think I am a player who wants to give everything. I play with my heart and I consider myself to be a winner. I always think that I have to go back to Real Madrid. I’m enjoying my football now, but the issue is clear, I am a Real Madrid player. In my head, I will always return there.”
A great decision made by Drenthe in my opinion as he definitely found the top of his form during his loan spell with Hercules. Although impressing the ‘Special 1’ is no easy task, I can definitely see Drenthe finding some minutes off the bench and making his presence felt
Do you think Drenthe is making the right decision coming back to Madrid? Should he stay with Hercules instead? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
