The future of David Trezeguet in Juventus once again takes another twist as after earlier this month things seems to goes well and he would probably stay in Turin, this days reports stated that the striker is surely leaving the club.
Trezeguet’s agent, Antonio Caliendo, was the one that confirm that with the player’s exclusion from Juventus’ squad that will be facing Sturm Graz today it can be confirmed that the former Monaco striker will leave.
The agent also hinted that currently there are two clubs that could be the former French international striker’s destination for the upcoming season, those clubs are Lazio and Hercules.
From those two clubs, it seems that Trezeguet would rather pick Lazio instead of the newly promoted Spanish team. Caliendo stated that at the moment they are waiting for the Roman based club to make a move today, however should the Biancoleste decide not to do anything than the striker would probably accept Hercules’ offer.
“We’ll wait for Claudio Lotito (Lazio’s President) until midday on Thursday. If it’s meant to be, then it will happen. I haven’t heard from Lotito in over 48 hours. We are prepared to wait a few hours longer, but no more, as the Spanish side Hercules are expecting our response,” Caliendo stated. “There will be an important meeting at midday. If we don’t hear from Lazio, it means the move will not go through.”
The chance of Trezeguet joining Lazio would likely depends on the Biancoceleste’s plan in bringing Machester City striker, Roque Santa Cruz, should the capital club decide to take the Paraguayan they might not make a move from the French striker. Reports in Italy stated that the Roman based club could turn their eyes on the French striker should they think Santa Cruz’s health issues would be a problem for the club.
The move to Lazio would probably be a better choice for Trezeguet next season especially if he still want to play in Serie A and a prestigious club. At the age of 32, the striker would still have the ability, experience and quality to help the Biancoleste in the league as he is still a useful forward in Italy
