Cristiano Ronaldo has been Real Madrid’s number one man since the start of the season and with their next game being a derby class encounter with Atletico Madrid, Ronaldo has went on to say that “It’s a must-win match” for Los Blanco’s.
Netting in 13 goals for the month of October, Ronaldo has led Real Madrid to the top of leader’s board and has been Mourinho’s best player by far. Now with the club looking ahead to take on Atletico Madrid in some Derby action, the Portuguese icon is not looking to take things lightly in this weekends match-up.
Ronaldo went on to say the following on Marca TV:
“A derby is more than one game. We know that a derby is played by two teams from the same city, but we should not prepare for the clash any differently than others. We know that it is a difficult match, against a good team, but we are at home and it is a must-win match.”
He also went on to talk about his individual performance as well;
“I am continuing as usual. Goals make the difference between playing good or bad. I am the same player as last year. I think that I have scored more goals that have helped the team, but I’m the same player. I feel good. I’m helping the team, and the team is helping me.”
