Crespo Plans to Leave Serie A Next Season

After Alessandro Del Piero is pretty much set to leave the Serie A permanently next season, another top player in the competition might follow the Juventus talisman’s road, that player is Parma’s Hernan Crespo.

Unlike Del Piero, whose future was revealed by Juve’s president, Crespo revealed his plan to leave Italy himself by stating that he plans to play to look for a new experience in a different level from Serie A.

Although Crespo isn’t 100% sure whether he would leave Italy, but the Argentinian admitted that his decision is already about 90% considering he believes his condition is not possible to compete in a high level competition such as Serie A. The former Ac Milan, Inter Milan and Chelsea forward still haven’t decide the league his after though, although the veteran do stated that playing in Asian or America would be considered as a great option for his future.

I’m 90 per cent sure that this will be my final campaign here. I still have the desire to play football, but at other levels. As you get on you start to realise that, despite the fact you are still enjoying yourself, you’re unable to take part in every training session. That’s why you start to think that it might be time to move on.
A future in Asia or America? Why not? I would like to try a new adventure,” Crespo revealed.

The former Argentinian international striker has indeed been playing in the top level for quite sometime now after first arriving to Italy in 1996 with Parma, which he took into becoming a strong force in European football at that time. The success at Parma than carried the 36-years-old in tasting several interesting career with top clubs such as Inter, Milan, Lazio and also Chelsea, in which he mostly managed to provide his goal scoring talents without any problems.

In his current late years, Crespo decided to return in the club that brought his career up, Parma, and help the now mid table team in every way he could, although becoming regular hasn’t really been his path considering the striker’s age. Obviously, the era has now changes as great footballing star such as Del Piero and Crespo, who used to be coloring the league for quite sometime is closing their curtain, marking another end to an era in Serie A.
