Conte Appointed As New Juventus Coach?

JuveAfter several speculation swirling in the media about Juventus’ future tactician, latest info from Italy suggested that the Bianconeri’s former player, Antonio Conte, looks set to be the main candidate in replacing Luigi Del Neri.

Conte, who has just successfully taking Siena back into Serie A action, has apparently been provided with contract agreement worth around 1,5 million Euro per year, with a duration around two years.

Reports stated that the talks between Juventus’ management with Conte was made last Saturday in Milan, with the Turin giant’s director himself, Beppe Marotta, representing the Turin giant in the negotiation with the former midfielder. Should this rumors turns out to be true, that would obviously be a sort of proud achievement for the young coach as he is being picked among several renown candidates such as Porto’s Andre Villas Boas, Napoli’s Walter Mazzari and even Roma’s Luciano Spaletti.

Although nothing has been official as just yet, the chance for Conte in becoming the club’s new coach looks to be big indeed, especially since the Turin giant’s official and former star, Pavel Nedved, has already spoke highly of his former teammates. Nedved also believe that the Siena coach would have an excellent coaching career in the future, an important statement that pretty much gave the approval should Conte really arrives again in Turin.

“He’s a true Coach. He was already one on the pitch when he played. He’ll have a great coaching career,” said Nedved.

Beside Nedved, another support for Conte is also being shown by Juventus’ former director, Luciano Moggi, who also believe that the ex-midfielder would be the best choice for the Turin giant compared to all of the candidates available. With this kind of approvals, it would be interesting on seeing how would a young coach like Conte could handle the pressure of reviving the Old Lady back into the heights of Serie A next summer.

If I had to choose between Walter Mazzarri [Napoli], Andre Vilas Boas [Porto] and Conte [Siena] I would go for the former Bianconeri captain,” Moggi revealed.
