City Players In Training Pitch Bust-Up Ahead of Arsenal Match

After having a relatively quiet couple of weeks, Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is making headlines once again for a bust up with team mate Micah richards during the team’s training session on Thursday.

This comes at a time when the club is preparing to face Arsenal on Sunday in a must win fixture if they want to continue leading the table. Witnesses claim there was a heated exchange between the pair and that they had to be separated by colleagues.

Richards later downplayed the incident saying that the matter was resolved.

“Me & mario are all good!”  he said on his Twitter account.

“These things happen in training & we shook hands after. It shows passion!”

The Italian national who has been in amazing form for City in the past few weeks will be a key part of Mancini’s line up on Sunday and the tactician cannot afford to lose him to injury or suspension.

Meanwhile, City’s opponents on Sunday, Arsenal will be looking to their in form striker Robin Van Persie to hand them a crucial victory that would potentially push them into a top four spot.

However, there is still controversy surrounding the future of Van Persie. Van Persie’s  contract runs out at the end of the season and the player has stated that he will only talk about a new deal once the season is over.

In spite of  this, Arsenal chairman Peter Hill Wood still believes that Van Persie is very happy at Arsenal and that they are in no rush to get Van Persie to put pen to paper and sign a new deal.

“I think Robin wants to stay. He seems very happy,”  he said to the Daily Star.

“Nothing has been discussed, though it is obvious we want him to stay. He doesn’t want to talk about a contract now and that’s fine with us.”

Sunday’s clash at the Etihad stadium will definitely be a very exciting  affair, however my gut tells me the match will end in a draw.
