Champions League Football Set To Be Played This Week

This week is that special time of the football season when we get to see a World Cup of European league teams battle. And this week will be the second fixture of matches in this year’s first round and many fascinating questions remain unanswered at the moment. But hopefully by the end of tomorrow many of these issues will in fact begin to slowly be revealed and the fun all starts today at 2:45 PM (eastern US time) on FSN and FSC.
Two games will be featured on TV today: Marseille at Chelsea and Partizan Belgrade at Arsenal. Both start at the same time and both offer EPL teams that one their debut match against a side that lost their first match. French side Marseille needs at least a draw to remain relevant in the tournament and the same goes for the unknown Partizan Belgrade squad. Of course many other teams face a similar dilemma today and many other squads will be playing today as well, but these are the only two games featured on television out of the six over here in the United States. the rest of the matches will likely be replayed on television over the course of the next week.
Here is a list of the other Champions League matches that will played today across the world:
Ajax Amsterdam |
v |
AC Milan |
AS Roma |

CFR Cluj-Napoca |
Spartak Moscow |
2 – 0 |
MSK Zilina (game previously played) |
