Paris Saint-Germain Want N’Golo Kante

Paris Saint-Germain are still going all out to land Chelsea’s French international N’Golo Kante, despite the Premier League side’s attempts to ward of interest by offering the midfielder a new deal.

The Premier League club are prepared to make the World Cup winner their highest paid player at £290,000 a week, a contract that will certainly catch the interest of Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

The deal would see Kante earn up to £15million over five seasons, however, the Ligue 1 champions have the financial clout to better that package.

Could Cavani Fill Ronaldo’s Shoes At Real Madrid?

According to AS, Real Madrid have sounded out Paris Saint-Germain over a move for striker Edinson Cavani.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez needs a big name to replace Talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, who he sold to Juventus for €100m earlier this summer.

But Perez is finding that to be a difficult task as Cavani’s PSG team-mates Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are too expensive even for Madrid.

That has left Perez looking at the next level of player, where someone like Cavani would be a relatively cheaper option.

Kylian Mbappe Rules Out PSG Exit

Kylian Mbappe has ruled out a move away from Paris Saint-Germain this summer after lifting the World Cup with France.

The 19-year-old was one of the stand-out stars of the tournament and was awarded the trophy for Young Player of the Tournament as he became only the second teenager to find the back of the net in a final, after Pele in 1958, as Didier Deschamps’ team beat Croatia 4-2.

Mbappe’s performances have seen him linked with Real Madrid, who are searching for their next Galactico,but Mbappe insists that he has no intention of leaving PSG this summer.

PSG Sign Gianluigi Buffon

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the arrival of veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon on a free transfer following his emotional exit from Juventus.

The French club released a video of Buffon getting measured up for a suit before he is unveiled wearing their new goalkeeper shirt for the 2018-19 campaign.

Buffon has signed a one-year deal with the Ligue 1 champions with the option for a further 12 months if he decides to continue on at Parc des Princes for a second season. Such an option would see him playing beyond his 42nd birthday.

According to various reports in the media, Juventus’ Massimiliano Allegri has moved to the top of Paris Saint-Germain’s managerial wish list as the Ligue 1 leaders plan to replace coach Unai Emery at the end of this season

Chelsea’s Antonio Conte and Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino have been the two names most frequently linked with the PSG job after the French side crashed out of the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid.

However, while Pochettino, who captained PSG as a player, remains high on the shortlist of chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Antero Henrique, Conte has been replaced by Allegri.

Real Madrid Dominate UEFA Team Of Year Shortlist

No surprise to see that the 50-man shortlist for UEFA’s team of the year is dominated by players from La Liga and European champions Real Madrid, who boast 11 nominees, including Cristiano Ronaldo, who is included for a record 14th time. Italian champions Juventus, who were beaten by Real in the Champions League final last season, have the next most with seven.

Tottenham stars Harry Kane and Dele Alli are joined by teammates Christian Eriksen and Davinson Sanchez on the shortlist, and are among 12 Premier League players nominated.

Real Madrid Dominate FIFA World XI

A record number of 13 Real Madrid players have been nominated for long list of the FIFPro World XI, while Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez lead the pool of Premier League nominees.

A total of 25,000 professional footballers were asked to select a team of 11 players – one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three attackers – from across the world, and the 55 players with the most votes have now been revealed.

PSG Got Kylian Mbappe On Loan For Free This Season

Paris Saint-Germain are confident they will comply with Uefa’s Financial Fair Play rules despite European football’s governing body opening an investigation over the signing of Neymar this summer for a world record fee of €222 million and the extraordinary deal for Kylian Mbappe that could rise to €180m.

Reportedly PSG have been careful to keep UEFA fully informed as to how they structured both deals, particularly the complicated, protracted deadline-day agreement for Mbappe to sign from Monaco initially on a season-long loan.

PSG Sign Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe

According to several media outlets, Paris Saint-Germain will sign Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe on an initial loan with the move made permanent next summer. The deal is structured this way to comply with financial fair play (FFP) regulations.

The transfer fee for Mbappe will be around €180 million plus bonuses . In total, the deal will cost PSG close to the €220m that they spent to sign Neymar from Barcelona earlier this month.

Buffon, Messi and Ronaldo on UEFA Player of the Year shortlist

Gianluigi Buffon, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are the three nominees for the 2016/17 UEFA Men’s Player of the Year Award.

The winner will be announced at the Champions League group stage draw in Monaco on Thursday 24 August.

The shortlist of three players was selected by a jury comprising the 80 coaches of the clubs which participated in the group stage of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, along with 55 journalists selected by the European Sports Media (ESM) group, representing each of UEFA’s member associations.
