Carlos Tevez will not be transferring to Paris Saint Germain. The French club from the capital Paris are now owned by a Qatari investment fund and have money aplenty. It was widely expected that they would be able to put together a financial package that would have been sufficient to entice the Argentine striker to come and join their mission to make PSG one of the leading players in European football. As of now, the move appears dead.
Very interesting news emerging from Paris. PSG Coach Carlo Ancelotti is claiming that he has been offered Chelsea striker Fernando Torres. Of course Chelsea have maintained that Torres is not for sale so there is a very high likelihood that the deal won’t go through.
That said, with notable Chelsea strikers Drogba and Kalou having linked up with their national side for the African Cup of Nations, Torres has been gifted the perfect opportunity to prove himself.
Meanwhile, Speaking to Gazetta dello Sport, Ancelotti revealed that he had a lot of players to pick from in this transfer window, Torres being one of them.
Beckham who had been linked with the Paris based club since late last year seems set to re-sign with Galaxy. When questioned by reporters as to whether Beckham would stay with Galaxy, this is what Al Khelaifi had to say.
“Yes, I think so. David Beckham is in Los Angeles and will stay there.
“He will not come, it’s clear.”
I did not want to believe it at first, but it seems like the rumours about AC Milan striker Alexander Pato joining French Club PSG are true. I am a big of the 22 year old Brazilian striker and feel that Milan would be making a big mistake if they let him go.
To be honest, i feel that if something is not done immediately about Allegri’s coaching tactics, then even more stars will end up leaving the club. First it was Ronaldinho who had to leave the club in spite of his stellar performances that helped Milan finish the 2009/2010 in 3rd spot and qualify for the Champions League.
The club was quick to rubbish on the rumours and released a statement announcing that they had opened talks with Kombouare with a view to making a resolution that would protect both parties.
The French outfit have the financial backing of some wealthy Qatari’s owners who are intent on creating a team that can challenge for titles both locally and in Europe as well and as such it was this that led to the speculation
According to Al-Jazeera, Paris Saint-Germain have lined up former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez as the replacement for coach Antoine Kombouare. Benitez has been without a club since being fired by Inter Milan almost a year ago.
The TV news channel reported that after lengthy discussions between board members at the Parc des Princes over the weekend, they have opted to cancel Kombouare’s contract.
The news that he was going to be fired obviously did not reach Kombouare, who was on the touchline today watching as PSG beat struggling Auxerre 3-2 to move back to within three points of leaders Montpellier.
