PSG To Sign Dortmund Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

According to Yahoo Sport France, striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will leave Borussia Dortmund and join Paris Saint-Germain in a £61 million deal this summer.

The Bundesliga’s top goalscorer last season has reportedly agreed a contract that will pay him a whopping £5.25m signing-on fee plus a wage package of £168,000 a week.

PSG have been linked with a move for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez for months, but the fact that they landed Aubameyang, will intensify reports that Sanchez is heading to Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

PSG this season struggled to fill the void left by the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimović to Manchester United.

World Cup Winner “Removed From All Football Related Activities”

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Götze has been sidelined indefinitely by his club after medical tests revealed that the muscular problems he has been suffering over the last few months have caused ‘metabolic disturbances’.

Götze, who returned to Dortmund last summer after a three-year spell with Bayern Munich, has played just 27 minutes in 2017 and a statement on the club’s website read:

“Borussia Dortmund will continue to be without midfielder Mario Götze for the time being.

“The 24-year-old World Cup winner has continually suffered with muscular problems in the last few months, prompting a comprehensive internal investigation into the possible causes.

Manchester United Top Barcelona And Real Madrid In Deloitte Money League

Real Madrid might be European and World Champions but Manchester United have knocked them off their perch atop the Deloitte Money League for the first time in more than a decade.

Jose Mourinho’s side, benefiting from a return to the Champions League, posted a world record revenue of £515.3 million over the course of the 2015-16.

That was enough to knock Real Madrid off the top spot after 11 years at the summit. The Spaniards slipped to third, despite returning their own record of £463.8m , an increase of almost £45m. Barcelona move into second.

Shanghai SIPG To Make 150m Offer For Aubameyang

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the latest name linked with a mega-money move to the Chinese Super League, and could be set to break transfer and wage records in the process.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 27-year-old Borussia Dortmund striker, who has previously been linked with Manchester City and Real Madrid, is the subject of a €150 million bid from Shanghai SIPG that would net him €41m-a-season in wages.

Dortmund media director Sascha Fligge said in a statement to several German outlets that the club have not received an offer for the 27-year-old, but Watzke refused to comment on whether BVB would be tempted to do business at that price.

Man United Sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan From Dortmund

Mkhitaryan-mufcBorussia Dortmund could finally decided to cash in to Henrikh Mkhitaryan and allow the attacking midfielder to leave for Manchester United in a deal worth a reported £32 million (€38m).

That is a steep price for United to pay for a player who is out of contract next summer, but Jose Mourinho is said to desperate to add the midfielder as United look for more attacking invention.

Mkhitaryan has already agreed personal terms with United and will undergo a medical within the next week. An interesting twist to the story is that Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic share the same agent, Mino Raiola, who also happens to be Paul Pogba’s agent.

The new Man City boss arrives at the Etihad having won three successive Bundesliga titles with Bayern, according to Costa, has a clause in his contract forbidding him from buying players from the German side.

Surprises In Top 100 Players List

Messi-PricelessNo surprise to see that CIES Football Observatory has Lionel Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo as its three most valuable players in the world. What is surprising is that they have Antoine Griezmann, Harry Kane and Anthony Martial all valued ahead of Luis Suarez.

The values of the players are based on several different variables including age, length of current contract and potential suitors. Which is why Juventus and France midfielder Paul Pogba is valued at only £70m, because his current contract is due to expire in 2019.

Bayern Munich Flexes Financial Strength

sanches-hummelsStunning news out of Munich as Bayern have spent at least £58m (€74m) to sign Benfica starlet Renato Sanches and Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.

The headline grabbing deal is the one for Sanches, as he was rumored to be joining Manchester United. That he is heading to Munich and not Old Trafford makes you wonder if Sanches’ transfer means that Jose Mourinho’s proposed move to Old Trafford is off as both the former Chelsea boss and the Bayern Munich new boy are clients of Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes? Or is this another case of Ed Woodward being out of his depth, unable to pull the trigger on a deal that was placed in his lap, and Bayern snatching him away at the last moment?
