Castaignos Considering Inter Exit in the Summer

Inter Milan’s young summer signing, Luc Castaignos, reportedly is considering a move away from the club next summer, as his agent, Arie Treffers, revealed that his client doesn’t feel he will get much playing time again next season.

Treffers stated that going out on loan might be the most possible way for Castaignos, but the agent isn’t ruling out at a permanent move should any respectable clubs are seriously interested.

Although Castaignos didn’t really featured a lot for Inter this season, Treffers claimed that the former Feyenoord Rotterdam youngster still have plenty admirers, and getting him a new club wouldn’t be much of a problem. The agent stated that the player is slightly disappointed with the Nerazzurri’s management as they didn’t fulfilled their promised in giving more chance to young players, something that was previously promised to the 19-years-old attacker.

Next season will be fundamental for Luc. He wants to play football and he doesn’t have that opportunity at Inter. When he joined the Nerazzurri they said that they wanted to rejuvenate the team, but the average age of the side remains over 30. I think that a loan move away is most likely or perhaps a big club are ready to sign him on a permanent basis. Let’s see how things turn out, but there is a lot of interest in him,” Treffers’ said.

The news about Castaignos departure isn’t actually a surprising thing considering the fact that he was already linked with a loan move since January but somehow it didn’t materialize for some reasons. Despite the change of boss in this later part of season, the ex-Feyenoord man apparently still isn’t being considered by Inter, so getting away in the summer might definitely be the best option for the 19-years-old to regain some form.

Castaignos’ arrival at Inter actually caused some excitement as he was pretty highly rated by the press, especially because of his success in being an important player for Feyenoord despite still being very young. However, things didn’t really goes just as plan for the young Duthman as all three Inter coaches so far, didn’t have any confidence in fielding him, which is somewhat understandable, considering the mess that the Nerazzurri got themselves into from the early part of Serie A.
