Benzema hopes to impress Mourinho as he aims at the starting XI

When you’re on a squad like Real Madrid, there is only one person you need to impress and that is – Jose Mourinho. Unfortunately, this can be hard to accomplish if you’re constantly fighting for a spot in the starting line-up

French striker, Karim Benzema, finds himself in this spot as the young 22-year-old continues to try and prove himself to head-coach Mourinho.

“I am working hard to earn more playing time. Once I play people will see what I am capable of. I am sure I will succeed with Real Madrid. I don’t have a single doubt.” The French striker told Punto Pelota. I have the mindset to play here. If I have to defend and run, I will. That is fine. I will work harder to play more and to prove to everyone that I am a good forward that can score a lot of goals and play pretty football.Mourinho is a great coach and he has faith in me. He has told me that I need to run more. All the talking I do is on the pitch. hat I like most about him is that he is daring. He is one of the best coaches I have had. ll I ever dreamed about since I was 17 was playing for Real Madrid, so my signing day was very special. I feel much more integrated now. My Spanish is better and I understand almost everything. I love Madrid, but my favorite spot is the Santiago Bernabeu.”

Benzema had a rough first season with Los Blancos and it even affected his role with the France National team. However, despite whether or not he will able to stay with his dream club, Benzema is still drawing much attention from other top-notch clubs likes Manchester United.
