David Villa scored on a header midway through the first half as Barcelona beat Mexico’s Club America 2-0 in Dallas.
Villa scored a nice goal in the 24th minute. Adriano sped past America defender Oscar Rojas and his cross found Villa unmarked just outside the 6-yard box for an easy header.
Seydou Keita added a goal in the 90th minute, finishing off an individual effort from Gerard Deulofeu. Deulofeu’s did well to stay on his feet in the box and his cross was tapped in by Keita, who was just a few feet in front of the goal.
What has to be worrying to Pep Guardiola was for the third consecutive game Barcelona looked week defensively, especially in the second half. Club America created several good scoring opportunities and if was not for Victor Valdes, Club America would have scored for the first time on their U.S. tour.
With Real Madrid up next fro Barca, Guardiola will need to spend a lot of time on the training pitch next week on the teams defensive shape or it will be a tough Spanish Supercopa.
