Italian bad boy Mario Balotelli has finally confessed his love for the Rossoneri. Super Mario ended a long love hate relationship with Inter and her fans when he signed for EPL outfit Manchester City in the Summer.
Now, speaking about his life as a former Inter player, Balotelli does regret some of his actions especially that of throwing his jersey on the ground after the Nerazzurri’s 3-1 win over Barcelona in the Champions League last season.
“I owe a lot to Inter and I wouldn’t throw their shirt on the ground again,” Balotelli said, according to Sportal.it. “I spent some fantastic years there but in the last months I realised that it was time for me to go. But I had no problems with my former team-mates.”
“I do respect president Massimo Moratti and I see no problem in me saying that I prefer Milan because I always liked them more.
This raises the question of whether Balotelli could join Milan in January. Frankly, i do not see that happening however it is possible that at some point in his career, Super Mario will be a Rossoneri.
However, when asked about his decision to join the Citizens, Balotelli’s reply left many question marks.
“I am not here because this is the best place in the world, I’m here for the football and I should recover from my injury soon. After the break it should only take me another week and then I will be ready.
“Sometimes I can do silly things but I won’t end up like Antonio Cassano. I won’t waste my team because my career is so important and no one will be able to ruin it,” concluded the Italian striker.
With Berlusconi being very generous in the summer transfer window, i won’t be surprised if he makes a swipe for this young talent next summer.
