I must admit I’m not much of a tweeter, but it kind of has become a phenomenon with modern day celebrities.
And speaking of phenomenons how about that Charlie Davies?
After all the tragedy following that horrific car crash in DC six months back, the guy is apparently training with his league club Sochaux once again and #9 is now running and working out in plus 80 degree heat. Davies was given the green light just a week back to re-join his squad in training exercises and the young US forward ran five miles with his team earlier in the week and he also has been active in strength and conditioning drills for weeks upon weeks now.
After suffering what looked like it could be a potential career ending injury, Davies will be a contender for a spot on the national team roster this summer. And the only conflict he will be facing is time itself.
To be honest if the US were to make a Cup run this summer then Davies would have to be one of the key players behind it. It was Davies who was so critical in the Confederations Cup. It was also Davies who was critical for much of the WCQ over the last year.
And if Davies is around this summer then you have to believe anything can happen. The guy just scored his first goal in six months during a training exercise earlier in the week. Can he score on the biggest stage?
Lets hope so. Were rooting for you Mr. Davies.
Now we just have to wait and see what happens.
