It has become very hard for analysts and pundits to predict Chelsea results as their roller coaster form has led to inconsistent results for much of the season. However, could Chelsea’s performances be linked to the supposed rift between senior players and the coach?
Chelsea did win last night’s game against Wolverhampton 2-1 and despite that making the news, more controversy was raised during AVB’s post match press conference where the young tactician denied there was a rift between him and some senior players after both Frank Lampard and John Terry were not seen celebrating with him.
The good News is that the win pushed Chelsea back into the top four after Arsenal went down 2-1 to Fulham. That however did not stop reporters from pointing out the strange happenings immediately after Chelsea’s first goal.
Villas-Boas on the other hand denied the rumours saying that it was normal for such speculation to come out due to the club’s poor form.
“I think it’s just part of their showing of unity for the team and what the team has been doing,” he said.
“For the recent happenings in the home fixtures where we lost points it’s normal for stories to come out speculating about things going on.”
“If you like to be speculative it’s up to your press, but I think if you take that route you’re not being correct and I tell you that what has been written is false and I recommend you not to take that route.”
So Chelsea roller coaster ride of results continue and even though AVB wants to portray a picture of calmness, you can clearly see through the facade. In fact it is very clear that the club is in a deep crisis.
The only question is how long will AVB last at the bridge? My guess, not too long.
