Well it seems that the Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona saga continues as rumors have once again started about the Spanish midfielder making his way to Camp Nou. However, Barcelona director, Andoni Zubizarreta, quickly denied the claims about having discussions with Arsene Wenger regarding a possible sale for Fabregas.
The transfer talk between both sides have been ongoing since the summer and after Arsenal went on to reject bid’s from the Catalan club, there is still much talks going around that Fabregas might make his way to Barcelona at the end of the season.
But now with Zubizarreta taking over the club as the new president, nothing is sure.
Zubizarreta went on to say the following to Com Radio:
“I have not spoken to Wenger about a guarantee for the transfer next season. Cesc is a very good footballer, but now I do not say if he enters into our plans for the next season.”
I definitely think that Barcelona was trying to sign Cesc before Andoni took over the club. During the summer, Andoni already made it known that he is unwilling to sign Fabregas for a boat-load amount of money and with Arsenal looking for just that, I don’t think both sides will come to an agreement. However, reports are still suggesting that both Arsenal and Barcelona have already agreed for an exchange that will see Fabregas make the move in the summer.
