Being able to slightly improve his performance after getting a loan move at Parma in January, Carvalho Amauri is being rumored to attract several teams again for next summer, including the rising giant, Napoli.
Answering the rumors, the Juventus owned striker stated that he would love to play at Naples not only because the Partenopei will participate in the Champions League next season but also because the chance of collaborating with Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
“Napoli? It is nice to hear people talking about that option as I had my first experience of Serie A with them,” Amauri said. “I know Edinson from our time together at Palermo, but the real soul of Napoli is Lavezzi. He’s a crazy player and whoever plays alongside him always scores a flurry of goals,”
However, despite revealing that he would love to play with Napoli next summer, Amauri admitted that he is still unaware about his future since he is still practically under contract with Juventus and anything can pretty much happen next summer. One thing for sure, the ex-Palermo striker hopes that next year could be more like his second part of this season, where he performs really well with Parma and bagged several important goals including against big teams such as Inter Milan and As Roma.
Moreover, Amauri also stated that leaving the Bianconeri in January was a perfect decision for him as if he stay at Turin, things might keep getting difficult for him over the entire season. This statement could also be a hint that the striker would be opting a move away from Turin next summer, although Juve did made a change of coach already and he could actually have another shot there.
I was right to leave Juventus. Things got difficult at Juve, especially during January. I was unable to do anything, but I showed people that I wasn’t to blame thanks to my efforts for Parma,” Amauri added. “I’m happy and I hope to start the next campaign in the same way that I ended the last one.”
