Allegri Wants Minimum Errors as Milan Goes for the Offensive Against Barca

Ac Milan’s clash against Barcelona this midweek looked to be giving another spectacle for football fans after the Rossoneri’s coach, Massimiliano Allegri, promised that his side will once again try to play an offensive display on Wednesday.

However, Allegri warned his players that if they really want to get an important result against Barca, the players must try to minimize any errors as that’s pretty much been one of the weak part of the Red and Black squad’s display recently.

Allegri revealed the reason why he believes Milan should simply play their regular attacking play against Barcelona is simply because the tactician believed that his side doesn’t really have a strong defensive character like what Inter Milan had few seasons ago, when the Nerazzurri successfully beaten Barca. The tactician believes that the Rossoneri at the moment is a much more technical side than Jose Mourinho’s Inter, which perhaps a little bit correct since the Red and Black squad doesn’t really have that much of physical players at the moment.

“We have to play against them carefully, minimizing mistakes, but still with an offensive mentality, playing with courage. Would we play like Inter in 2010? For the characteristics of my players, we can hardly play a game as they did two years ago. I do not think this team is able to defend well, as the elimination from the Coppa Italia against Juventus demonstrated,” Allegri said.

Furthermore, although regretting some of the injuries that Milan are facing, Allegri believes those available will be able deliver similar qualities for the club. The tactician revealed that all his players are relax and simply motivated to play against Barca, a side that have been considered the best in the world for around 4-5 years now.

In preparing to counter Guardiola’s tactics. Allegri also informed that he has been trying some things on the training ground, hoping that it could work to perfection against the Catalan side on Wednesday. Some positive news for the coach also arrived with the return of Robinho and Maxi Lopez in the squad, giving more attacking options for Milan this midweek, as in previous league game they only had Zlatan Ibrahimovic along wit Stephan El Shaarawy up front.

“I’m sorry for the absences that there are, but on a mental level we are fine. On a tactical level, today I will try some things. Sure, I would have preferred to have all the players available, but the fact remains that the team is ready for this game. We are relaxed. We arrive as one of the top eight sides in Europe, something that has not happened for four years,” Allegri added.”

Milan called up players against Barcelona:
Abbiati, Amelia, Antonini, Bonera, De Sciglio, Mesbah, Mexes, Nesta, Zambrotta, Yepes, Ambrosini, Aquilani, Boateng, Emanuelson, Nocerino, Seedorf, El Shaarawy, Ibrahimovic, Maxi Lopez, Robinho
