Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has shed light as to the reason why Brazilian ace Ronaldinho has been missing form his line recently. According to Allegri, Dinho has to to put in more effort if he is to consistently feature in Milan’s line up.
“Being out is not nice for any player, but Ronaldinho must work harder to regain his place in the team. He is doing so and is doing well, on Saturday he showed great will,” Allegri told the press ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League tie at Auxerre.
Milan prepare to face Auxerre tonight in a crucial Group F encounter. Anything other than a win could end the Rossoneri’s hopes of progressing through to the knock out stage.
Group F could not be tighter, Madrid lead the group with 10 points while both Milan and Ajax are level on 5 points. As things stand, Milan will have to win and hope that Madrid beat Ajax to ensure their passage through to the next round.
Anything other than a win tonight could spell doom for the Rossoneri. Allegri is expected to play Flamini, Robinho, Ibrahimovic and Seedorf as his attackers with Dinho and Prince coming on as substitutes.
Auxerre on the other hand will not be any pushovers especially in front of their home fans. The French outfit have not won any of their past 4 Champions League matches and they will be looking to end that tonight when they host Milan.
If Milan are to beat Auxerre, then they would have to use different tactics. Over reliance on Swede striker Ibrahimovic could prove to be lethal. My ideal, attacking formation would have to include Inzaghi.
The 37 year old striker has always come through for the Rossoneri and after his amazing exploits against Madrid 2 weeks ago, Allegri will be keen on including him in his line up.
My prediction for the match is a 2-1 win in favour of Milan. However, like i always say, this is football and anything is possible.
