All Inter wants for X-mas is another big name forward to fill-in as a starter come January. And why not? The club got the exact same thing last transfer window with Eto’o and Diego Milito and even though the squad waived bye-bye to the best in the Serie A business (Zlatan Ibrahimovic), they still have proven to be the top dog early on this season.
And Inter doesn’t need a striker on paper with that duo, but with Eto’o leaving the squad to play in an African Nations Cup coming up shortly, the club will be spreading that critical department thin unless they bring in somebody else. Two names that are always coming up are Luca Toni (the bitter Italian giant wants out of Bayern Munich) and Lazio’s Goran Pandev (same deal). Inter’s club officials are saying that neither of these guys have been linked with a move, but when it comes down to the time to get the deal done I would be shocked if Inter didn’t bring in anyone notable.
All Palermo wants for X-mas is top six results. And it is a popular gift on the X-mas wish list, but Palermo may be more worthy of the gift then most other teams in Serie A. They are currently in seventh place and with a few more wins they should secure one of these spots. Not too bad considering the club has been stuck on the bottom half of the league table for most of the year. Palermo may prove me wrong with their coaching adjustment, but with a top six finish they will prove me wrong.
