AC Milan’s Vice President, Adriano Galliani, Dreams of Eto’o

With media speculation pointing AC Milan’s transfer targets mainly towards Lyon and its forward Karim Benzema, Milan’s VP Adriano Galliani has noted recently to media that he will go after Samuel Eto’o during the January transfer period.

The 27-year-old Eto’o was rumoured to Milan last summer, but it appears Galliani has put the pressure on Eto’o’s Catalan club.  He noted to media, “I’m in love with a forward who is not Benzema, it’s Samuel Eto’o. I would sign Eto’o if I could, but really we’re talking about a dream.”

Eto’o returned with some interesting quotes to French media, “Barca are the biggest club in the world and the biggest club in the world need the best players in the world,” he also added, “Benzema is in that category at the moment.”

Eto’o noted that he has no plans of leaving Barca until his contract runs out in 2010.  He has enjoyed a return to form and has been on the best forwards in Spain this season.

When his contract runs out, Eto’o dreams of returning to France,  “I dream of one day playing for Marseille, even though I am a Parisian.”

What do you think?  Will either Benzema or Eto’o end up at Milan in January?
