Ac Milan puts out a surprising players list that they will brought to London for the upcoming Emirates Cup by taking lots of youngsters to the annual tournament and leaving out senior players such as Ronaldinho, Andrea Pirlo, Massimo Ambrosini, Fillipo Inzaghi, Kakha Kaladze and Marek Jankulovski.
As many have known that Ronaldinho’s absence at the Emirates was caused by an injury which forced him to be sidelined for at least a week. Meanwhile, the latest reports suggested that Pirlo, Ambrosini and Inzaghi are all being left at Milan due to fitness issues as they suffered fatigue during the team’s latest training.
Two criticized veterans, Jankulovski and Kaladze also forced to stay at home by Milan’s new coach Allegri, not because of fitness problems but due to tactical preferences. Not only those senior players, until now the Rossoneri are still unable to insert the likes of Thiago Silva and Klaas Jan Huntelaar into the squad. Both players haven’t return to via turatti as they were given an extended holiday because of their nations’ achievement in the last World Cup.
With those absentees, Milan opted to bring some of their exciting young players, who manage to win the Primavera’s Copa Italy last season, such as the likes of Simone Verdi, Rodney Strasser, Giacomo Beretta, Alexander Merkel, Mitja Novinic, Michelangelo Albertazzi and also Ghana’s young talented striker Dominic Adiyiah. It would be an interesting thing to see how would Allegri build his tactics and integrates this talented youngsters to play against the likes of Arsenal and Lyon.
This tournament might just be the start of a new era for Milan fans as should some of their youngsters manage to prove that they can play in the first team, Milanisti could be seeing a new and truly young Rossoneri squad soon. Not to mention that the fashion capital club have already bolster up their youth team squad this season by purchasing highly rated youngsters such as Marco Fossatti, Luca Santonocito and Mattia Desole, this might be the sign that they are seriously planning on rejuvenating the ‘old’ team.
