Just as it was expected, Ac Milan have finally added another piece of the puzzle they have been looking for which is a new left back that is being set to cover the Rossoneri’s troubled area since the injury of Gianluca Zambrotta.
The new “terzino” that the fashion capital side have officially acquired is a rather unknown young player, Didac Vila, that previously plays his football at Spanish La Liga club, Espanyol.
According to the Italian club’s official site, the new player is expected to sign his contract after finishing his medical at Milan tonight and could be available for selection just after the Rossoneri played their weekend game against Catania. Official report also confirmed that the player will be playing with the red and black shirt until June 2015, which is a pretty long contract that possibly being done because the young age of the player.
However, there’s have also been some conflicting reports regarding Vila’s signing as some local media in Italy speculated that the Spaniard will be used as a bargaining chip in order to acquire Milan’s previous target, Domenico Criscito. The press thinks that the former Espanyol player might be loaned out to Criscito’s club Genoa where in return, the Griffone will allow the Italian international defender to join the fashion capital side this winter.
Although this speculation has a strong possibility but considering the fact that Milan’s coach, Massimiliano Allegri has been saying some positive words about the young left back, loaning the player seems like an unlikely option at the moment. Moreover, Genoa’s president, Enrico Preziosi, doesn’t look to keen in releasing Criscito this winter especially after the patron received heavy protest from the club’s fans because his habit in selling the clubs’ stars.
He is a young full-back with good feet, a lot of running and a good physical structure,” Allegri said his opinion about Vila.
For the moment Vila is can be safely added as a new part of the Milan family this winger and whether he will be a part of another deal or not, it would be something that could be seen in just a few days time. The player himself has been considered as one of the future talent in Spain especially since he has all the tolls needed to be a very strong left back for years to come, surely playing in a big club like the Rossoneri is a challenge in which if the player can win it, we might see the rise of another potential world beater at San Siro.
