US v Mexico Tickets Go On Sale

by David Wilson on January 13, 2009

US Soccer finally announced that tickets for the US’ World Cup qualifier against Mexico in Columbus, Ohio will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 12 p.m. ET. Due to anticipated demand, tickets will be limited to four per purchase. For those of us who cannot make the game, we can watch it on live on ESPN2 HD and Univision. The game has a 7 p.m. ET kickoff.

US Soccer has delayed release of these tickets to the general public for weeks as Columbus Crew ticket holders and U.S. supporters groups like Uncle Sam have had first dibs on the tickets. While this was done to ensure a home field advantage for for the U.S., the lack of communication from US Soccer has been frustrating to U.S. and Mexican fans alike.

Expect these tickets to be sold out early on Wednesday afternoon. After that, you will need to buy tickets through an agency like StubHub if you want to go to the game. Buy US vs Mexico Tickets.

Note that these tickets are via StubHub. StubHub guarantees that your tickets will be authentic and valid for entry
