The Philadelphia Union have added a second major international friendly to their schedule with the news that they will play Glasgow Celtic at PPL Park on July 14 (8 p.m. ET). Buy Philadelphia Union v Celtic Tickets
The game against the Scottish giants replaces the previously announced match-up against La Liga’s third best club, Valencia.
“Unfortunately that game [vs. Valencia] will not be played this year,” said Philadelphia Union President Tom Veit in a statement. “Valencia and their appointed promoter have backed out of the agreement that was reached with the Union and other MLS teams.”
The Union have already scheduled a friendly against Manchester United on July 21 at Lincoln Field.
