Odds Slashed On Arsene Wenger Not Returning Next Season

Wenger Out SignArsene Wenger is in the final four months of his contract at Arsenal, and the consensus at the turn of the year was that the Frenchman would be back at Arsenal next season.

But after a bad week that saw them lose to Watford and Chelsea, defeats that ended the Gunners title dreams, Ladbrokes has for the first time this season, made Arsene Wenger odds on to leave the north London club in the summer.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said:

“The odds are starting to tip in favour of the Arsenal boo boys getting their way.

“For the first time this season, the betting indicates Wenger might be coming to the end of his time at The Emirates.”

Should Arsenal decide to not renew Wenger’s contract the bookies favorite to take over at the Emirates is Bournemouth coach Eddie Howe at 3/1. While I like Howe, it is a little earlier in his career to make the jump from Bournemouth to Arsenak.

Massimiliano Allegri is second favorite at 6/1. That would be an interesting one as Allegri replaced current Chelsea boss Antonio Conte at Juventus and the two of them don’t get along which would add some added spice to the London derbies next season.

Do you think it is time for Arsene Wenger to go or should Arsenal offer him a new two-year deal? If Wenger does go, who do you want to see replace him?

Yes it is definitely time for Wenger to go, he has indeed took us to another level in our transition from a small Higbury stadium to the Emirates and we are one of the most financialy stable clubs in the world.
However is very ignorant to the fact he will not listen to anyones views, he has no plan B, he cant change things it has to be done his way. We as supporters of the same sh*t different year and i assure you it will not be long untill our next upset comes in the Champs League, just to be consistant with the other years.
We also have no captain which is again a massive problem, there is not one person who can take control of the team when they are not performing, like a Tony Adams or Pat Vierra we miss this immensely. And yes its nice to get some home grown talent and british if possible but for us to buy a player who has just been made redundant form a job from a non league club is a statemnt of our intentions, precisely “NONE AT ALL” we were told be patient we are moving, we then told be patient we need to pay for our stadium , its all done, spend our money and get some world beaters in or get a manager who will.We are a joke and it hurts to say that belive me.We have owners/directors who spend 500m on a ranch and plough hardly nothing back in to club and when asked he states why should we spend money to win trophys!!!!!! is he real:? is football not a game you play to win? obviously not, we are ok as long as we get in knockout stages of champ league, quater final of cups etc!!!! its a joke, in a sense i hope Sutton Utd beat us and knock us out of the best competition in the world, that will hurt more than you know, but it will be at least one more nail to get rid of Wenger.
AND A NOTE TO THE SUN NEWSPAPER , Please do a promotion for ferry tickets for a pound again, I will gladly pay for his return fayre ONE WAY!!!
Rant over, and have a nice day, WENGER OUT!

Wenger has gone stale…He has lost his mojo!…Arsenal need a fresh approach…I admire what he has done for the club…but these are tough times and we need to start winning major trophies again…Excuses won’t buy with the pundits nor the fans any more!…it”s the same old story every year…he is just to stubbornly set in his ways of the past!

Contract in another world. He’s most useless manager in the football world. You are managing a particular club for twenty years and you couldn’t build a formidable team for thirteen years. This manager is done, is finished, if he’s not, what is Montreal doing in Arsenal, Cabriel, Gironde, men , it is very sad that arsene use his stupidity, his arrogant and foolishness to destroy his legacy. He should go, if he refused to go let the fans revualt again him. Thank you for the memories Wenger and go never come back
