LLTO La Liga Picks of the Week

Deportivo La Coruna-Atletico Madrid

Deportivo has remained strong early on in the year and the squad is currently in fifth place trailing four clubs that are all red hot.  They should remain a top five club by the end of the week as they play the very inconsistent (but bad in La Liga so far) Atletico Madrid.  Got to go with the home team in this one as Deportivo is 3-1-1 at home; whereas Atletico hasn’t won a road game yet this season.

Final Prediciton: 2-1 Deportivo

Real Madrid-Racing Santander

Still no Ronaldo.  He will soon be back in the lineup, but for now Madrid needs their other high priced stars to step up once again.  After a slow start without the Portugal national player, Madrid has put it together recently and look to steal first place from their rivals who they play next week.  Racing, on the other hand, only has one victory all season.

Final Prediction: 3-1 Madrid

Vilarreal-Valladolid

Vilarreal is no longer the laughing stock of the league and has recently pushed up the board and out of the relegation zone.  With a win over fourteenth Valladolid this weekend the squad will be out of the lower depths of the board and a top fifteen squad at the worst.

Final Prediction: Vilarreal 3-1

Mallorca-Almeria

One of best battles here between number six and number eleven.  Mallorca has impressed early on in the year and this match gives them a chance to remain a perfect 6-0 at home this season.  It is hard to bet against that statistic.

Final Prediction: Mallorca 1-0

Here is the Rest of the Picks:

Athletic Bilbao 1   Barcelona 3

Espanyol 1   Getafe 0

Osasuna 1   Valencia 2

Malaga 1   Real Zaragoza 2

Xerez 0   Sporting Gijon 1

Tenrife 0   Sevilla 2
