Driving in the car yesterday and I was listening to ESPN radio. A commercial came on for Colin Cowherd and he was talking about soccer.
Cowherd is not a soccer fan and he mentioned that. But he said since the Confederations Cup, non-soccer fans have been suddenly talking about soccer, including him. He went on to say that the biggest game in U.S. history is August 12th away to Mexico, implying that the U.S. needs a win to keep the mainstream attention that the Brazil game has generated.
What do you think? Is Colin Cowherd right? Is the August 12th game versus Mexico the most important game in U.S. history for building up mainstream support for soccer?

Yes because for the average american who didnt care about soccer and saw the last game at the confederations cup will pay interest to big game, which the U.S. will need to win their hearts and minds about soccer.
Every time the US wins a big game, it is a step forward in attracting the casual fan. I think calling it the most important game in history might be a be a bit overstated.
