They maybe leading the Eastern Conference MLS table with 2 victories from 2 games but, the New York Red Bulls are a team in Mourning. The ironical thing is that Richie Williams one of the clubs assistant coaches who was on the bench for the Seattle game led his side to their first road victory in nearly 2 years. New boys Philadephia Union were last night given a 2-0 drubbing by the Seattle Sounders in the inaugural MLS game at Seattle‘s Qwest Field. Philly‘s coach Peter Nowak was somehow to blame for the loss. Leaving seasoned midfielder Stefani Miglioranzi on the bench, Nowak opted to put Daniel Mwanga in Central defense a position that did not bring out his effectiveness entirely and which led to his substitution at the start of the second half.
However, the real games begin tonight with Colorado playing away to Chivas at 2230hrs. Of course Colorado hit the headlines these past 24 hrs when they off loaded players Nick LaBrocca and a third round draft pick to Toronto FC in exchange for the services of Marvell Wynne. Their mantle is completely devoid of a trophy of any kind. Read more... (247 words, 1 image, estimated 59 secs reading time)

Recap: CHV has a slow start, but they came on strong to finish with a winning record and the fourth most points in the league. Preki continued to get the most out of an underpaid side. The loss of Guzan was painful, but they rebounded to finish 2nd in the West. But, their playoff appearance vs. RSL was poor, so they get a B- for ’08.
Offense: Chivas failed to produce offensively, scoring only 40 goals all season to finish ninth in the league standings. Losing Kljestan abroad during the early 2009 transfer period will be quite damaging, as he was their attack’s impetus, finishing 1st in goals and assists despite only 21 games. For ’08 though, they get a C+. Read more... (246 words, estimated 59 secs reading time)
