Anyone watching the MLS Cup Final last night, saw the picture of David Beckham using an inhaler during the game.
Well it seems that David Beckham has had asthma since he was a boy and takes regular medicine to control his asthma.
What is amazing to me is that Beckham, arguably the most famous athlete on the planet, has been able to keep this secret for so long.
The LA Galaxy told the Daily Mail (a UK tabloid) said the inhaler was to help Beckham battle allergies, but the player’s agent Simon Oliveira said:
“David has suffered with this since he was a young boy, but it has obviously had no effect on his performance. He has never sought to make it public but if it does inspire any sufferer to think they can achieve great things like many other sportsmen have done then so much the better.”
