FC Barcelona has confirmed that they will be touring the U.S. again in 2009. Barcelona is determined to have a presence in Major League Soccer by 2011, through an ownership stake in the the potential MLS expansion franchise in Miami. Miami FCB would play at Florida International University and benefit from a shared ethos and the extensive resources of the Barcelona sporting family.
MLS Rumors found a story on MLS Espanol that said:
“The intention of FC Barcelona’s directive is to strongly support this new adventure [of opening a team in Miami] . That is why they will send the first team to the US next summer. The directive’s idea is for Guardiola’s team to play a friendly game in Miami to promote the franchise they will be about to get. Also, they would play in other US cities to “sell” the Barcelona-Miami project”.
On August 1st, Barcelona will face the Los Angeles Galaxy at the Rose Bowl. Then four days later, they will travel up the coast to play the Seattle Sounders at Qwest Field on Aug. 5th. There is a still to be announced third game on the schedule which I expect to be played in the Miami area

They better come to Chicago! I really want to see them again and I really don’t want to travel all the way to the East.. but if I have to, I will.
Also, Messi better be there and not at some damn Olympics.
What Olympics would Messi be at in the summer of ’09? more importantly, what “damn” Olympics would be even going on?

They better play here in LA again, they had a 94,000 sellout last time and plus Galaxy wouldn’t be a bad team to play against or maybe Chivas USA
AH, Barcelona should really play here again, i missed them when they came this summer, and Messi couldn’t even attend!! so, they should come again
i’m sure manyyyyyyyy people would attend, and Chicago Fire would be an amazing team for them to play (but come on, Barcelona is the powerhouse of Europe) anyways, please please please come again! 
I would love to see Barcelona play in Houston with Dynamos or even with Mexican clubs. It will be an awesome experience to see Messi in live action!!

Barsa should play the U.S. National team!! Who cares if it’s a club team versus a national team. Barsa can much too easily defeat any U.S. Major League Soccer club team. Team U.S. is the best we have here and they could use the experience playing against one of the best club teams in the world. No doubt it would be a sellout. Visca el Barsa!! Viva Espana!! U.S.A. all the way!!
