With all due respect Alexi Lalas is one of the most arrogant, opinionated commentators I've witnessed in years. He has a lop-sided view of the MLS (probably due to the fact he played in it) and can't seem to blend objectivity with his views in any fashion. I'll admit that actually some of his technical reading of the game is quite good. The problem seems to be he has such slant on different views that he becomes obstinate and dominating about them. He seems to have particular dislike for anything English and comes across with a sneer about the EPL, etc.

I can't stand this guy. Sorry. I wish ESPN would just pick somebody more qualified as a commentator rather than someone who is recognizable because of ginger mop and Rasputing beard on his head.
