Colombia and Ecuador have announced that they will play an exhibition game on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Giants Stadium at 8:00 p.m., ET. The match will help both teams prepare for the next round of World Cup qualifying games in September.

It is unusual that these two teams have scheduled this friendly as they met only a couple of weeks ago in a World Cup qualifying game held in Ecuador where they drew 0-0.

Everton Tickets

Everton are one of only two teams in the Premier League (Manchester United being the other one) who have not added to their squad this season.

If Everton’s pre-season form is any indication, they need some new players. With Andy Johnson heading to Fulham Everton need at least replace his goals. In addition, Everton manager David Moyes needs to add some depth to his squad as a couple of injuries to Cahill, Arteta or Yakubu would seriously derail Everton’s European dreams.

We have tickets to all of Everton’s games home and away as David Moyes’s men chase another European spot.

Fulham Tickets

It was a miracle that Fulham stayed up last year and manager Roy Hodgson will be looking to consolidate in the 2008/09 campaign which I think he will do. Fulham have been extremely active in the transfer market as Hodgson looks to reverse the disappointing signings of former manager Lawrie Sanchez last year. It should be an exciting season at Craven Cottage and we have tickets to all of Fulham’s gams both home and away.

Fulham Schedule

Champions League Disaster For Rangers

Posted on July 30, 2008 - Filed Under Champions League | Leave a Comment

Glasgow Rangers Champions League hopes are at best 50-50 after a very unimpressive 0-0 draw at home to Lithuanian side FBK Kaunas in their Champions League qualifying second-round, first-leg tie. The difference in fitness really showed in this game as Rangers struggled with match fitness, as they only recently returned for pre-season while the sharper Kaunas have played 15 league games already.

Yes Rangers were missing captain Barry Ferguson and last season’s top player Carlos Cuellar from the line-up but there should have been enough quality in the Rangers line-up to win the home leg.

Is Keane The Answer For Liverpool?

Posted on July 30, 2008 - Filed Under Liverpool | Leave a Comment

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez thinks that the signing of Robbie Keane for £20million is the final piece in the puzzle. In the Keane press conference Benitez said:

“I think all the defences will be worried about stopping them. Other managers and defenders will be trying to sign players but with Robbie, Fernando, Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt and Ryan Babel we will have great presence. It will be a big problem for other teams to cope with, that’s for sure.”

Is Real Salt Lake’s Game for Real?

Posted on July 30, 2008 - Filed Under Houston, MLS, Real Salt Lake, Toronto FC | 1 Comment

Toronto FC watched an opportunity for a precious away point dissolve with Robbie Findley’s late strike during Major League Soccer’s recent edition of Monday Night Football.  While this storyline was important, especially when looking at the crowded Eastern Conference, the most amazing part of the evening was the fact that Real Salt Lake now sits in first place in the Western Conference four points above the Houston Dynamo.   With 27 points, RSL has as many points this season in 19 games as the team had from all of last season.  That is awesome.

Limited schedule ion Major League Soccer this weekend with the bog shock occurring on Dallas where FC Dallas hammered Beckham and the Galaxy 4-0 in front of a sell-out crowd.

FC Dallas 4, LA Galaxy 0

After going winless in MLS play since mid-June, FC Dallas finally decided enough was enough. Kenny Cooper scored twice in the first 17 minutes, Dominic Oduro scored his fifth goal of the season and Abe Thompson came off the bench to add another tally as FC Dallas blasted the Los Angeles Galaxy, 4-0, at Pizza Hut Park.
